This is a place where we can all share good memories and times we've had with DL. In a stressful and uncertain time, maybe just reading something about DL will help us all. When he recovers, he can read these stories and realize how loved he is.

This is not really funny...but I was thinking about it after
something DL said in the hospital the other day.
Brian and I had just broken up...and DL wanted to make sure that I was
okay. He came to my parents house to make sure that I was alright. He
left me cry on his shoulder and told me that no matter what...things
were going to be okay. For some reason...I believed him. DL has always
been the person I've turned to for advise (as strange as some of you
many think)...he's always been right (DL, if you're reading this...don't
rub that in my face). I know he'll always be there for me and he'll
always be there to caught the tears that fall. Even know, when he's the
one in the hospital, he tells me that he knows things are going to work
out and that everything is going to go just the way I want them to. I
love ya DL...and I can't wait for you to get better, cause I'm taking
you on a vacation! See ya soon!
Love ya kid!

I've only known DL for a couple of years. The first time I met
him was when I started working @ Kroger. A lot of the guys would come
up to talk to me and make comments like, "Matt, your sister's hot!" Just
to piss him off. And he was the first to show me where things were @ in
the back and he always goofed off. He was hilarious! I was always glad
when he was workin, cause he'd always make time go by faster b/c you'd
always be paying attention to the stupid things he was doing or saying
instead of the clock. And one pretty funny memory I have is when
Dan,"the man," came to work on his bike, so he put it in the bike rack. And
while he was workin, DL and someone else, I forget who it was, decided
it would be funny to move the bike rack all the way over the side of the
building so Dan wouldn't know where it was when he got ready to leave.
We were laughin so hard, and of course, if you know how DL is, he was
laughing histarically! Get better soon buddy! We love ya!

I remember last march when DL set up a trip to daytona beach
for spring break. I was a senior in high school and being that my
birthday way at the begining of march, he told me to go. We were down there
for a whole week. He got real drunk one night and started acting like an
ass... as he is known to do under the influence. lol. A few people we
had met down there and myself had to chase him down the hall 3 or 4
times because he was doing summer saults down the hall, kicking people's
doors the whole way. Then after we got him in the room for the last time,
he fell against the wall and put a hole in it with his head. He got us
out of it by telling the people at the front desk that the hole had
already been there but we had forgotten to turn in our prior damages card.
Pretty smooth for a guy with a killer hangover. I'll never forget that
week. He was the one who got me out of the state without my parents for
the first time ever. He's a great guy.

I've known D.L. a lot less than a lot of people here...however
I have a great story about him. It's very recent, but it's really
good.
I was at the hospital visiting him and we were talking. He was doing
really good and talking to me and my friend. But, then all of a
sudden, he grabbed my boob. For those of you who do not know me, I am pretty
well off. However, DL has never messed with my chest. I looked at him
and was like, "Hey, Hey, Hey....now I don't think you're that sick if
you can still remember to grab my boobs." He grinned from ear to ear
and said, "I'm sick." It was the greatest thing ever!!

Well, I've known DL for about 4 years now and we've shared so
many memories. My personal favorite was my senior year when I was
cheering at an Amanda-Logan Elm football game. DL came over to the Amanda
side with Eric and Brian and sat in the first row of the stands in front
of me. During cheers, he'd keep yelling "Michelle!! Michelle!! Look
at me" and other things just to distract me. Then he yelled "my toe
touches are better than yours!!! Watch!!!" and he preceded to do one for
us!!!! There's other times when I still worked at Krogers in Pepe's
Playhouse when he'd drop by and we'd talk for about an hour at a time
about anything and everything. He's a great guy. He makes the world a
much brighter place when he's around!!

i like to think of DL as a funny guy, simply because...he is.
The funniest time I remember spending with him was the 1st time I went
to Athens...I was drunk as funk standing in the downtown area smokin a
stoge and DL knocked it out of my hands...and I bent down to get it and
that goofy fucker gave me a little kick in the ass and I fell and my
face slid clear across the sidewalk. I had to walk around with a 4 inch
scab down the side of my face for 2 weeks. For that I thank DL for
removing all doubt and letting everybody know that I am an idiot. A few
beers and a couple good lookin ladies later that night some chic walked
up to DL, cody schwalbauch, and I and said some kid was harrassing her.
Cody and DL being as violent as they are began to follow this beaner.
He began to walk very fast, but Cody and DL were hot on his tail. The
kid began to scream "I'M NOT GETTING JUMPED TONIGHT!" DL then replied
were not gona jump ya man, Cody you stay back...Cody followed DL!
's orders and DL kept tellin the kid that he just wanted to chat...the
kid took off runnin, but not not for long, there was no high speed
pursuit because DL is very quick. He snatched that kid up and that poor
poor beaner didn't even stand a chance because DL started flashin green
and began to grow and it was at that point that I realized that the
Incredible Hulk's alter-ego is DL Casto. Then DL just completely
annihilated that kid. I swear all that was left was a pile of dust and clothes.
It was sofa king awesome. On a more serious rememberance of DL I
remember having to go to an orientation at OUL...and I was nervous and
really didn't wanna be there, but when I walked through that door I got an
overwhelming experience of comfort because DL was there. Not only was I
comforted because someone was there that I knew, but because I knew it
was someone that I could sit by and dick off with while some douchebag
talked for 2 hours. Get well soon DL, you crazy mugga fugga.

There are too many stories & memories of DL, like the time I'm
sittin at my computer in my dorm room, & DL walks up & just pulls his
little limp wiener out, HAHA! & the time when DL reminded me multiple
times that I have my beer goggles on at the bars, although he did let me
make out with ugly gross guys when I was drunk at the bar too! Now
that's a good friend! & the time when I had to carry his huge ass back to
his room cuz he was too drunk to walk, & he almost made me roll down
Morton hill!!!! Yeah, there are too many to list.

The night Dave turned 21 was the greatest memory that I have of dave.
I had a fake ID because i didnt turn 21 for another week so me and dave
went out for his birthday with his friend rachel. That night I started him off
with a shot of wild turkey and a coors light(dave's favorite)...After we
both got done makin out with rachel..haha...we went to every bar that
night. Needless to say we were doin the court street shuffle. We went to
the junction for the last half hour of the night where his friend puked
all over us and we had to carry her back to her dorm..like a half a mile
hike. I was tired..dave wasnt...so we went back out...the walk kinda sobered
us up a little bit so we kept on poundin until we couldnt hardly
walk...walkin across the street we about got hit by a car when dave spouted at them
and they stopped...two huge ass dudes hopped out and i was hidin behind
dave but he stood strong and we kinda just looked at eachother and they were
gettin back into there car and dave said "thats right mother fuckers walk
away" haha he didnt know that there was a cop car right behind them and
thats why they left....haha...we woulda got our butts kicked...i love
and miss you man...many good memories and many more to come

It was April Fool's Day, and DL and I were so tired of hearing Stacy Strous go on and on about his car. So DL and I decide to do something about it. On our breaks, we go buy a bunch of toilet paper and then run back to the meat department and ask if they have any saran wrap. They give us this huge roll that's like... 15 lbs. So we take all the stuff out to Stacy's car and get to work. First some saran wrap... then some toilet paper... then more saran wrap... then even more saran wrap... then some more toilet paper... you get the idea. For 20 minutes, we rolled Stacy's car... and we waited around to see his reaction when he saw it. The look was something I'll never forget. Great times.

The first memory that comes to mind is the most recent one. Just last Sunday he came by and showed off his new bike. There's really nothing too funny that happened that day, there weren't any huge events that made this stick out in my memory. It was just so recent. That's what I want burned in to my memory forever. That's the DL I know.
